In a year filled with growth and challenge, Vigilant was proud to be named the winner of the Minority Business Development Agency's award for Minority Technology Firm of the Year for 2016. The award was presented as part of the annual Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Diversity Business Summit on November 16th, 2016. This award is presented to a minority-owned firm that has achieved outstanding success in promoting the use of technology in new and innovative ways, leading to greater efficiency and higher productivity. Specifically, the award is in recognition of the firm's success in multiple areas, including:
· - New technology products or services implemented
· - Revenue growth and number of jobs created/retained over a period of time
· - Challenges overcome – technical, commercial, competitive or societal
· - Economic, environmental, or societal contributions Of particular note is Vigilant's contribution to the local educational community, providing an internship/externship program in concert with the East Valley Institute of Technology and other local high schools, where high school students can become part of the Vigilant procurement office and receive hands-on training in Federal, Commercial and SLED market procurement processes, and personally contribute to the company's efforts in this area. Vigilant is very grateful for this award and continues to apply innovative and highly customizable solutions to our clients throughout Arizona and the rest of the country!
