In the first week of September 2018, Vigilant engaged with the AFRL in New Mexico to become part of their new accelerator program, Hyperspace Challenge. Vigilant’s bid to be accepted into the accelerator was approved on September 4, 2018, and we are excited to be able to aim our innovations at the problem statements that are currently being generated by the Air Force’s innovation sponsors! Currently, Vigilant is in the first phase of the Hyperspace Challenge, examining various problem statements made by Air Force innovation sponsors and developing innovative solutions for some of those issues. Once we identify the best fit for our team of experts, we’ll develop a proposal using a format presented to us by the accelerator staff, and if our solution is accepted, we’ll be flying to New Mexico to engage in person directly with the Air Force program managers in pursuit of agreements to further develop and implement our solutions for Air Force clients.

The Hyperspace Challenge accelerator program was first brought to our attention at a seminar hosted by C-TRAC, the Center for Technology, Research And Commercialization. C-TRAC is a USAF-funded non-profit corporation focused on bringing together “government, education, institutions, and industry, to collaborate on technology innovation/maturation, to create products for the market and to provide skill training in new technologies.” Vigilant has enjoyed a strong relationship with C-TRAC that dates back to June of 2017, when we participated in one of C-TRAC’s earliest Deep Dive events, focused on Cybersecurity. Vigilant introduced one of our core innovations at that event and continues to work with C-TRAC on a regular basis to present our solutions to various clients inside the Air Force ecosystem.
