The organization needed to develop a recovery or high availability solution that leverage recent investments in high-density Virtual infrastructure.

The airport had invested in a Flex-pod based virtualization platform. Database licensing limitations restricted virtualization of some systems and others where built on legacy technology that could not be mobilized into highly available systems.

Vigilant performed system assessments and interviews along with site assessments of the airport and adjacent municipal resources.

It was determined that the Star connectivity network topology of the as-built environment contained numerous Single Points of Failure (SPOF's ) as well.

Using industry resources and past experience, Vigilant was able to outline a road map that gave the airport a path to high availability taking advantage of advance in wireless 80211.ac technology, IP based camera systems and built in WAN acceleration capabilities of the existing and new systems.

Further more, we where able to recommend strategies that leverage technology center capabilities and existing state/federal infrastructure improvement programs.
