In 2005, Vigilant was asked to develop a solution that would allow a medical billing company to share information and provide scheduling services with his clients.

A secure solution was needed with flexible access methods, but must be robust, scalable and cost-effective.  The COTS system  purchased by the client requires a complex install, including multiple MSSQL and legacy RMS databases.

After analyzing the system, Vigilant took advantage of  cutting-edge virtualization technologies and deployed the environment in a custom virtual cluster using both Microsoft and Vmware technologies. As the user base grew, Vigilant was able to use clonning technologies scale the solution and to expand the cluster, adding compacity from the initial 5 user base to a system scaleable to over 100 users. The cost to the client was essentially flat costing less to install and operate then deploying the system locally in the clients office. Furthermore, the system was now operated from a multi-million dollar datacenter while still maintaining a cost of less then $20 per user!
