Vigilant Develops cloud Storage solution roadmap for Large Metro Airport

Problem:

A large metro area airport was running virtualization on a complex Fibre Channel Based single head SAN with almost 100Tbyes in storage. The array could no longer be expanded, and the complexity and maintenance cost where becomming prohibitve. Options where to expand this and continue the high maintenance cost or move to cloud storage soution,

Solution:

Vigilant developed a roadmap to migrate the client using upgrade and trade in programs that most vendors have, but most clients are not aware of.  After evaluating the existing storage solutions, it was determined that the Lefthand storage solution, bundled with the SAN IQ managment system and VSA applaince provided the most cost effective solution and even Lefthand's competitors admitted that Lefthand has the best capability for managing a heterogenous mix of SAN Arrays.
